Asus Vg248qe How To Set 144hz

I recently got the wonderful vg248qe, tonight me and friends were going to practise a LAN so i thought i would bring over my monitor. I cannot become 144hz choice to show upwardly. I have an MSI Apache laptop with a 960M in it. I have updated the monitor drivers so it does meet information technology equally the VG248qe. I have update both Intel and Nvidia drivers. I am using mini display port to DUAL LINK DVI not single link. My friend swear he used this adapter with his former laptop and got 144hz for CS:Get all the time with the exact same monitor. The display adapter for the monitor is Intel HD 5600 graphics as shown and it does non seem like i can change that.I can get into the Intel hd graphics and it does not show 144hz also. My nvidia control panel is weird on this laptop and simply shows 3d settings as shown here? Googled effectually and cant seem to figure out how to ready that 
. Im not sure what else to exercise, im guessing its something to practice with nvidia or intel hd graphics. Too i take selected the show non support refresh rates on the monitor and it does not prove 144hz every bit show hither. If anyone can help me effigy this out I will give you a steam game or something like that you want!

It'due south a laptop. That means there are only a certain amount of hard points for connections, the gpu doesn't have its ain connections poking out of the side. That I know of. There should exist in bios someway to set primary video, in virtually bios it's PEG or something akin to that. Information technology's almost like there's no sensing of the gpu, or disabling the igpu should revert to the next gpu in line, which if the igpu is primary, and then it would be the 960m next. But this isn't happening. Information technology may be that the 960m simply isn't seated correctly, it may be bust, not sure. In that pic just posted, the pick is Preferred Graphics Processor. That IS the 960m, as all-time as I can encounter, it depends on the other choices, as the 5600 is as well nvidia based, non being amd.

I did, you just didn't mention that you lot checked in that location, sad. Is in that location only ane mini DP port on the PC, because ane of them might exist connected to the graphics bill of fare while the other is continued to the motherboard, therefore the integrated graphics in the CPU. You could attempt disabling the integrated graphics in Device Manager>Display Adapters, every bit ane of my friends had a similar trouble, and doing this solved it.

I did, you just didn't mention that you checked at that place, sorry. I checked before in the bios and i cannot set it anywhere in there. I also take the "Loftier performance nvidia processor" selected in the control panel as shown hither. If i take and disable intel 5600 the adapter for the monitor is and so basic microsoft.

I'thousand not entirely sure if this is how things actually work, simply information technology would make sense. I believe that whichever source (Motherboard/GPU) you output from is what is displayed, so if you lot output from your GPU then you are able to get to 144Hz, but if you become from the motherboard, which might exist where the mini DP is coming out of, intel integrated graphics are existence used, and you will non be able to go to 144Hz, as it is not supported past the 5600. Are there whatsoever other outputs on your laptop, possibly HDMI which you could use?
